Merisis Technology is an IT solutions company focussing on portal, collaboration, Java and iSeries technologies.

The founders of MERISIS have backgrounds in enterprise project management, technical consultancy, management of e-business development teams, particularly in the manufacturing and logistics/supplychain sectors.

As a team, our history traces back to 1999 when we developed our first product - FreeStyle-400, a web development tool that allows RPG developers (on the iSeries, i5 or AS/400) to develop fast performing dynamic web applications using their RPG programming skills as well as some HTML skills. FreeStyle-400 has been sold in the USA, France, Spain, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands through a network of partners. We have developed some very large and complex web applications using the product, achieving blistering performance, even on lower spec'd AS/400 servers.

Very quickly we added other 'browser-based' technologies to our skill set and experience, branching out into Java/J2EE, mobile PDA, XHTML, Javascript, PHP, etc and a natural progression from there was into Portal/Collaboration/Web Content Management technology. Over the past few years we have established ourselves as a key IBM Partner in the Portal/Collaboration marketplace and this was acknowledged when we were awarded the 2006 IBM Lotus Award - Distinguished Achievement for North East Europe. In addition we are an IBM Software Services for Lotus Tier 1 Partner providing consultancy in these areas directly to IBM's customers. 

IBM software is built on open standards and for us it continues to be the best option for any business wanting to build integrated applications/systems without a rip-and-replace approach. IBM technology runs through our veins and over the years we have built a deep understanding and set of skills in a number of areas which we are able to utilise this when delivering solutions for our customers.
